Question 1

How do I compare keywords on Google Trends?

Accepted Answer

Type up to 5 search terms in the keyword boxes on the left, pick your date range, country and category, and the tool builds a direct trends.google.com URL. Open it to see the relative interest comparison chart instantly.

Question 2

What date ranges does Google Trends support?

Accepted Answer

Google Trends supports Past 1 hour, 4 hours, 1 day, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, 12 months, 5 years, or a custom range from 2004 to today. Pick a preset or set your own start and end dates in the date fields.

Question 3

How many keywords can I compare at once?

Accepted Answer

Google Trends allows up to 5 search terms per comparison. This tool enforces the same limit and shows a chart, region data, related topics and queries for every URL it generates.

Question 4

Does Google Trends show absolute search volume?

Accepted Answer

No. Trends shows relative interest on a 0-100 scale, not absolute search counts. Anchor a keyword against a term whose volume you know from other tools, then scale by the relative Trends score to estimate.
